How can a visitor pay when they forget their plate?

Provide staff assistance using supported, approved identifiers such as a booking reference or verified session details. Identify the correct visit before discussing payment, and keep unrelated vehicle records out of view when the visitor cannot recall the registration.

A forgotten plate does not justify collecting new identity information without a need for it. The assistance process should also cover ambiguous matches, missing images and disputed amounts, with manual corrections linked to the resolved visit and its payment record.

A forgotten identifier is still an assistance problem

Ticket systems gave visitors a physical reference for their stay. Plate-based payment instead asks them to recall or identify the vehicle.

Searchable observations offer context when that identifier is forgotten, but the change does not justify turning a public pay station into a catalogue of other people's vehicles or visit histories.

Offer a proportionate way to identify the visit

A receipt reference, booking credential, staffed desk or safe return to the vehicle may solve the problem. An alternative matters particularly for visitors with several cars or difficulty using the proposed interface.

Choose an assistance route suited to the situation, rather than requiring a new identity document merely because the registration has been forgotten.

Resolve similar vehicles without exposing other visitors

Staff may use approved context such as approximate arrival, zone, vehicle description or a previously issued session reference. Search through an authorised role and verify the selected record before discussing a charge. Broad photo galleries and unrelated identity documents are inappropriate shortcuts; if several visits fit, continue the assistance instead of guessing which vehicle was involved.

Two similar vehicles arriving within the same hour, for example, need further verification. Approximate arrival alone should not select a session. Finding an observation also does not establish the amount due: the payment operator needs a process for a missing session, amendments and eventual closure, with the original evidence and correction history remaining connected.

Use CORE search for an authorised evidence review

Aero Ranger CORE search can narrow captured records using available context and open evidence for review. This supports a staff-assisted lookup of the correct observation. Permitted filters, verification steps and the payment-service connection need checking for the deployment.

CORE does not publicly establish a native pay-station recovery screen, customer identity lookup or direct fee settlement; those are separate capabilities to validate with the responsible provider.
